Categories displayed twice on POS

Something strange has happened to my POS display. All my categories are displayed twice. My website is fine only one category there. I've uninstalled the app and cleared the cache but it appears the same when I reinstall. Anyone any ideas?

That does sound strange - is this still happening today? 

 

If so can you please share some screenshots with examples and also let me know what software version your app is on? You can check this in the app store.

I actuallly found somewhere I could delete one of the categories. I did this but then had to go through and reassign reporting categories.

I thought it might have to do with adding a location to my set up, and attemped to delete the categories for that new location, only to find all my categories have now gone, from all locations, and I will have to create them again and (worse) reassign every item to my categories. Not impressed!
