would like to use jet printer to print lables

Hello,

is it possible to salvage an jet printer, rather than ZD411 to print labels from Square? Will square hardware accept this?

I am not sure as this type of setup your trying is Not in the recommended compatibilty list.  So your old Ink Jet printer may or may not work with Square Hardware.  What you can do is hook your Old Ink Jet printer up to a Computer.  Then download your Catalog as a CSV file.  Then use a label software program or Word, or Google Docs or similar program to use mail merge to Print labels that way.  You would need to add a Barcode font like Code 39 or similar and create a Column Identical to your SKU or GTIN column but have the Font assigned as the Barcode font you have downloaded or installed.  You would then need to print from the computer and not from Square hardware like a Stand or Register.  This would be a work around for you to use your older printer.

Here is a Video using Google Sheets and Mail Merge:

This method should be able to have you print to an Ink Jet Printer but again it is not Through Square.  The barcodes should work and you can print one to test.  My only issue was some Barcode fonts require a Check Digit and some do not or the Hardware you use may or may not have these built in.  Test with your actual scanner and Square to learn how yours hardware works with these barcodes.

Worst I found out was when Scanning a Bad Barcode was Square read it and asked if I wanted a New Item.   Best case was Square found the Item that I was testing a Barcode for.
