voyager 1250g scanner and leading and trailing digits

I had a problem with my 1250g scanner missing leading and trailing digits and found a solution and wanted to share with the community.

Original problem is that if I scanned a bar code with a leading digit, using the square stand and square register, it would say that the code is not found.

For example, if i scanned a can of diet coke, which actual UPC is 04965802, it would say 4965802 is not found ( notice missing leading zero.  )

There is a way to enable the leading zero.

Here is the manual: https://cdn.cnetcontent.com/5f/f8/5ff81f5d-4e8d-4852-ae31-d81fb4d41f8d.pdf

On page 141 ( yikes ), scan the UPC-E0 Leading Zero to be On.

After I did this, I did get the leading zero.  Rescanning my diet coke, I got 0496580.  Which square stand said item not found.  Looks like its missing the trailing digit now!

Fortunately, on that same page 141, there is a UPC-E0 Check Digit.  Scan the On.

With those two options, it can scan my diet coke without an issue.  Yay!
