travelling with your terminal

Hi, we run an event in a rural location once a year for 2 days.

I have bought a new terminal for the event which I am setting up tomorrow.

Are we able to connect to the ether or something while there? There is no internet connection at the location which is in a showground. I prefer not to have to hotspot off a mobile if possible and also don't want to risk the orange "offline" option in case we can't access internet within the 24 hours.  Thanks

If you have access to ethernet, then  you could get  a travel router - These are simple little routers designed for such situations.

Something like this one (i have no opinion on this one, just one that came up in my search)

TP-Link AC750 Wireless Wi-Fi Travel Router (TL-WR902AC): Routers: Amazon.com.au

But I'm confused by the comment that the showgrounds has no internet connection - do you mean wifi. If you can opt for your stand to have ethernet then the above router should give you your own local wifi. If not, you'll just have to rely on hot spotting your phone. If it's any help, we have done this on several occasions (field days and showground events) with no drama..
