transfer ownership of a website to another account

We have 2 websites on the same account.  Now we would like to transfer one of the websites to a new account.  Is this possible please?

Hi @northdesk, thanks for your post and welcome to the Seller Community 🙂

Do you have custom domains for your sites? It's not currently possible to transfer a Square Online site to the new account, unfortunately.

In this case, what can be done is the transfer or connection of your domain to the new account, but the site itself would need to be rebuilt.

If you could give me a bit more detail about your current set up, I'd be happy to help run through what the best option may be here.

Thank you.  We are two churches who used to have a married couple, one each as ministers of the churches.  Our church site, where we own the domain, www.northeskchurch.org.uk   and the other church site, www.stnicholasbuccleuch.org.uk/ were both set up by the husband of our minister using one weebly account in his name for both.   Our minister has been promoted to another church and while we are still perfectly friendly with both, we would like to get our site under our own newly created square account.   We would like to transfer our church website to this new square account whose email is [email protected]

 Is this possible please?

Thank you for the context @northesk, in this case it looks like you would be looking at connecting your current domain to Square and rebuilding your website once the process is complete. The site itself cannot be transferred, unfortunately.

Connecting means your domain and website are within your Square account but the hosting and billing is with the third party.

I understand that these terms and processes can be a bit confusing which is why I would suggest getting in touch with our Customer Support team on the phone, as they will be able to talk you through the process in detail.

I hope this helps, let me know if there are any questions!
