There needs to be an easier way to Transfer inventory, in the system, from one location to another. Currently, all items must be typed in individually and given a quantity. This is very time consuming when moving hundreds of Items (which I do every week.) Why can't I scan all items and then Transfer? (I can Receive them this way!) OR why can't I pull a template to Transfer, similar to a Purchase Order Template? I have been asking for this feature for over 5 years. Am I the only company on the Square platform that Transfers items between locations??

You can receive items on an iPad, but not Transfer. You can Transfer Items on a Mac, but not Receive. I have BOTH, and still can't run my business efficiently. I have been on Square for 14 years.

I can definitely understand the frustration here, especially when you’re moving hundreds of items every week. Having to manually search for each item and enter quantities is a lot of extra work when barcode scanning already exists for receiving inventory.

At the moment, Square does support bulk transfer orders through the Dashboard, but creating those transfers still requires selecting items rather than simply scanning everything from the sending location. Barcode scanning is currently available for receiving inventory, but not for initiating transfers from the source location, which creates an inconsistent workflow.  

I think your suggestion of allowing barcode scanning to build a transfer order, or providing reusable transfer templates similar to Purchase Orders, would be a huge time saver for businesses managing inventory across multiple locations. Those are practical improvements that could significantly reduce repetitive data entry.

You’re certainly not the only seller asking for this. Similar requests have been raised by other multi-location businesses over the years, so adding your feedback here helps the product team understand how much demand there is for a more efficient transfer workflow.
