time cards

Is there way to set up time cards so employees can not clock in before their scheduled shift. What I am looking to fix is when say an employee is scheduled to start at 9 am but clocks in at 8:56, it tacks on 4 minutes to the work day. I would like to put in the schedule for the employee and have square round it up or down to the closes quarter hour, when they clock in.

There is no current way to limit an employee from clocking in before their scheduled time, but you can update your timecards before running your timecard reporting.

The Manager Timecard Controls will give you the ability to modify time cards as needed. Not a perfect answer for sure, but I'll be sure to surface this request with our Product Team for visibility. In the meantime, here is a little information on how our Feature Request Process works.
