redeem e-card without a number

Is there a way to redeem an e-card without the number? Customer cut it off. The bar and QR codes are there and I am able to pull it up on my phone but there is no way to redeem it or void it from there.  We don't have a bar code scanner.  I have no way to contact the guest. Baffled!

Hi @kimapollo.  If you have the bar or QR code you can use your POS (tablet or phone) scanner to scan it.  Just select the Gift Card payment option, and click the little camera icon to the right of where you would manually enter the card number.  Of course, since you didn’t say, I’m assuming you have aren’t using Register since I don’t think Register has this option, yet.  Hopefully it does by now, but don’t hold me to it.
