printer is printing two copies of reports

Hi 

My printer has started to print an extra of the sale reports and any other receipt that I print manually.

when the customer pays. the printer only prints one copy.

but any report or receipt I send to be printed, the printer prints 2 copies.

this started about 3 weeks ago. 

I have tried looking for the problem but cant see why it is doing this

That’s odd. What type of printer are you using?  I would power down everything and reboot. If that doesn’t work maybe try by deleting the current printer profile and add it back. Again if you do this I would still power down the printer first.

I appreciate you jumping in on this one, @perkits! This is unusual. I would recommend the same troubleshooting as @perkits.

 

When you have a moment, what Square devices are you using, as well?

HI sorry for the delay.

Not sure what the main thing was but i did get it sorted.

I did a sofware update again, then in the hardware settings i checked the printer profile and made suer that only one box was ticked . 

I hope this helps

@MayaP do u have any help with this thread pls. 

 

One of our POS terminal's prints two reports when do a cash draw close out. 

 

after we input the cash draw $ total, and save it, the first close out report which prints doesn't show the cash draw total (its just blank in that field) but the 2nd report which prints straight after shows the cash draw report. 

 

first time seeing this happen in 8 years, and only happening on one terminal we have (not the one).

I can definitely take a look into this @SWCMD. I do want to get some more information:

1) What app version is the terminal on?

2) Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? Specifically, deleting and recreating the printer station. 

3) What printer model/brand are you using?

4) Can you share a photo of how the reports print

we did recreate the printer station. 

epson  TM-T88V Model M244A 

 

I will send u a DM with the picture of the close out report 

 

this is only happening when preforming a cash draw close out and only on one of our two machines....

This started happening to us a few weeks ago. It self corrected, so I'm thinking a software update fixed it.

Currently versions

Terminal os 5.61.0107

               app 6.84

POS 6.82.3

when does it occur for you? 

 

ours is just when doing a cash close out of the draw. and only on one of our POS machines, the other is fine. 

 

@MayaP not sure if u can help out. I sent u the close out reports by private message.

We are no longer having this issue. Not sure what happened, but just getting one copy now. This has happened a couple of times over the last few months and self corrects.

Our team has confirmed that a fix for this issue was released in version 6.88, so please keep an eye out for that update. If you’re not seeing it yet, we recommend trying a factory reset on the device.
