once an item is sold out can i delete it from the item library or should it stay in system

Help please retail users.... i have ALOT of items in my library, to make it quicker to find an item at point of sale can I delete sold out items or will that cause problems for future accounting etc

I noticed you hadn't received any responses from other Sellers so I wanted to jump in with a suggestion!

Is the reason you want to delete sold-out items to remove them from your app? 

If so, you can achieve this now by archiving items to prevent them from showing in your Square Point of Sale app, Square Online storefront, or any other channel listings. It's important to note that at this time you can only archive items when logged into your online Square Dashboard.

To archive a single item from your online Square Dashboard:

1. Log in to your Square Dashboard and click Items > Item Library.
2. Click the three dots on the row of the item you want to archive.
3. From the drop-down menu, click Archive.
4. If your item has variations, click Archive to confirm you want to archive all item variations.
