I am disappointed and frustrated with the newest update to our register. The grid seems like a good idea but can't be configured on my computer. I can't possibly stand at the register and change icon images and such. Is there a way to revert how it was before? If not, where can I get instructions on how to configure this new mess? I was trying to give our customer her discount but for the life of me never found it. It used to be right on the screen. Please help.
First, yes there is a way to go back. From your POS, click on More -> Settings. At the top you’ll see “Revert to previous experience” in red. Touch that and follow any instructions to go back. After you’ve done that, and you have familiarized yourself with how to configure the new experience, that same setting will have a way for you to switch to it when you are ready. A good place to get help is, from your POS, to go to More -> Support -> Get Help, then choose the first topic “New: Explore Updated POS.”
You didn’t ask, but one more thing for any POS experience. If you just can’t find something you want on the grid, you can always look for the “Library” button on the POS screen and press it. That will allow you to search your complete library of items, including discounts, services, and categories.
Lastly, the new experience is definitely a big improvement. You’ll just need time to familiarize yourself with how to set it up. It’s not as difficult as it might seem right now. I at first reverted back, so that I could try things out on a spare iPad I had and decide what I was going to do. It was well worth the time and effort!
