merchant name not on customer transaction

Hi, I have just set up a new square account and terminal and after charging my first customer, I note the transaction shows up in their account as "Square Aust - Internet Master Merchant" instead of our business name?  I have set up our business name properly in our square account therefore what am I missing to have this display properly for my customers when they purchase? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

The transaction should show on your customer's bank statement as *SQ Your Business Name, Location (this many be abbreviated depending on bank statement character limits). Your customer would need to look at the line item in the statement, rather than an app notification to see this. Often banks will send notifications that highlight Square as the processor, rather than the business name in the line item of their statement. You'd need to check this line item as we unfortunately can't control what specific information is sometimes pushed by different banks in notifications in-app!

 

One way you can test this is to run a $1 transaction on your card, then look at the bank statement.
