my magstrip reader is not working properly. It appears that the newer credit cards are thinner than before and my reader does not read it properly. Any suggestions?
Hello @wrightsmithco thanks for your post. I don't have a suggestion for you other than maybe trying to lay a piece of card stock under the credit card when you run it through? Not the best solution probably. I'd recommend getting a contactless chip reader. Many newer cards do not even have magstripes anymore; I think they are eventually getting phased out. Using a contactless reader also lets your customers pay with a chip tap and even their phone/watch. It's super fast and convenient.
