image reports

Looking for a way to retrieve item images uploaded to square.  I see no current option to produce custom report for anything but sales data.  Other systems I have worked with let you access the data base (which Square uses) to mine data

Anyone have any insight on how to get this data out of Square?

Thank you

Hi @KevinRand.  I’m assuming that your question relates to being able to view and possibly maintain the library of images that your business has uploaded to Square.  However, I wanted to confirm that since you used the verb “mine,” which could mean that you are wanting to see all images uploaded by anyone to Square.  So, to clarify, in some cases you are able to see your images only — no one else’s.

First, there are no reports of which I am aware for our private image libraries with Square.

Item catalog images can, of course, be viewed and changed on an item-by-item basis.  There is no CSV download capability for item images available to us currently.

Website images actually have a library of sorts in the dashboard.  When we want to add a new image, or replace one, on our web sites one of the sections available is “My images.”  This has all of the images we’ve uploaded to Square Online to be used on our web pages.  However, all we can do here currently is view those images, choose one to use again, or upload a new image to be used.  We can’t delete images already uploaded.  We can’t replace them, or print them, or download them.  I do know that there have been a few feature requests to give us more robust image library cataloging and editing capabilities, but I am not aware of Square accepting or adding any of those to the roadmap.

Otherwise, there are no capabilities to do what you are wanting to do.  If I may, might I ask what you are trying to accomplish here, what you are trying to do?
