When NordVPN is running, it causes Square to go offline. Any suggestions?
@Amc1 This is probably gonna be a no go. Square has specific restrictions on the country each app is being used in. Canada has different rules/fees/restrictions just like UK or US. So square has to have location enabled and I am sure there are some security checks to make sure the information being transmitted to their servers from the POS is encrypted and secure. A VPN can make your ip address look as though it is from another country and will cause a red flag for the app. Unfortunately, a VPN by nature is trying to hide something so this probably is a flag.
Do you have a specific reason for wanting to mask your ip address while running the point of sale? Square is using encryption that I am sure is much stronger than anything a commercial vpn would provide as far as information between the app and their servers.
