When an employee is assigned to an appointment, they will be attributed to the sale, and receive any commission and tips from that sale. Sales attribution is recorded at the time of sale, and cannot be updated after the transaction is made.                                                                                              is there a way to attribute a sale to a stylist outside of an appointment?

Hey there @Agosetti If a Sale has been attributed to another stylist it cannot be adjusted. However, if the transaction hasn't been attributed yet then, it can be attributed to a Team Member via the Transactions page in the Square Dashboard.
