clarification of automatic CC surcharges

We are just starting to ramp up our seasonal Garden center, and during the off-season, I set up the CC surcharges on our wholesale location. First customer this year, and I checked afterwards, and there is no surcharge. Everything a ppears to be set right. Looking at the fine print, I don't see mention of "card on file" payments as being excluded, but I am assuming that is why there is no surcharge.  Is it correct that "card on file" is not part of the automatic CC surcharge?

Definitely unsure of this but just throwing out random questions and a bump, but was the card on file a Debit card or actual CC?

That is a good question.  It was a credit card not debit.
