cashing in and out + replacement card reader attached to register

Just had a couple of questions. Hope you're all well. 
1. How do we cash in/out on the register? I've been looking everywhere but can't seem to find it. 
2. A staff member accidentally left the card reader part of our Square Register underneath the beer taps, and it dripped into the card slot - is that fixable/replaceable or will I have to buy a new one?

So sorry to hear about beer getting into your Register! (Hope it was a tasty XPA...)

 

While I'm no expert on Square hardware, I'd imagine the card slot is very rarely used in comparison to the tap n' go function--perhaps you can get away with not having to replace the whole unit completely!

 

There's also the option of manual credit card entry which you can activate from within the Register's backend settings. 

 

In terms of cashing in/out--I'll have to verify the exact workflow as I'm answering this on a Sunday morning from home!--I want to say you can access this on Register via:

 

More > Reports > Cash Management > Pay In/Out

 

It's my understanding you'll need to have your float set up properly though! You can also access all of your cash drawer reports in your online Square Dashboard:

 

Reports > Cash Drawers
