Is it possible to record a cash payment in virtual terminal?

i want to record a transaction so that my stock is reduced as appropriate, but to record payment as cash rather than charging a card?

this can  be done usint he POS app, but i do not always have the app available but do on computer

Hey @Akadama,

Thanks for getting in touch.

At the moment you'll only be able to record a cash sale via the POS app - though if it helps, you can install this on any compatible Apple or Android phone you might have handy to record a cash payment.

is there any way to have an invoice with Zero cost? Ie 100% discount

Can we create an invoice and NOT send it? Just save it? 

that way I can record a cash payment

Thanks for getting in touch.

At the moment there is no way to send an invoice for $0. You can however run a $0 cash sale through our POS app then send your customer a receipt. The way you'd do this is:

1) Create a 100% discount

2) Start a sale in the POS app and add your items

3) Apply the 100% discount

4) Complete the sale as a $0 cash sale

5) Email or SMS your customer a receipt

I knwo it can be done in the App, but not everyoone uses the app 

Why cannot a zero value transaction be done in the web site as well?

Eg donations, Free samples where we want to record the transaction and track the stock but where there is not a sale?
