auto transfers no option?

We have been using square for a long time now, and we are having to manually initiate transfers of funds. I swear there was a way to do it automatically on a daily basis. the help screen says to go to Balance, Click the Gear, Transfer Settings and it should be there. but it is not there.

This is all thats shown on that screen. is it no longer possible to have it auto deposit into my account at the end of the business day?

On the Balance Screen these are the only options...

Account details

These account details can be used for direct deposits and ACH transactions.

Add Money

Hi @cboy  Do you have a Square Debit card? If so, as I understand it, once it is activated, auto deposit schedules no longer work. Your account changes to manual transfer only. It kind of makes sense, but I do think it needs to be more explicit in the help documentation.

And in case I’m wrong, I’ll tag a few moderators to set me straight. But I’m pretty sure I’m right. That’s how it happened to me and I vaguely reading another thread here where someone stated that.

Ugh yes I do. Thanks for the reply!

Well that’s a bummer. I guess I’m going to switch my cc processing to Quickbooks instead. Their rates are better too.

Hello @cboy, I am sorry for any confusion, but @TheRealChipA is correct. If you are using the Square Debit Card your funds will be available instantly on your card, but if you do want to transfer the money over to your external bank account you do have to manually do it. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

You would need to Deactivate/Cancel your Square Checking account if you would like to return to automatic transfers, @cboy

If you go to your Square Balance section, there will be an option to cancel your card and afterwards that option will become a Close My Account option.

I hope this information is helpful @cboy
