Hi everyone,
I am new here, not very technically minded and need help.
I run a market and we use “Airtable” for applications, admin etc. We now take stall payments via Square.
We used to use Stripe and via a Zapier automation we had it set up that once a payment was made in Stripe it would update in our Airtable to say paid.
Zapier used Stripes customer’s email to identify the correct person and update the correct section.
I cannot work out how to get Square to do this, as I can’t select email or any other identifying info as an option. How can I find a customers identifying information?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hi @TMSSMarkets ,
I can see this is your first post, welcome to the seller community.
So I can see there are triggers for new payments in Zapier, and it can create or update airtable. But what is in airtable already ? Or are you trying to match payments to previous purchases ?
Square can collect email addresses, but it is optional. So if its for some sort of loyalty program them perhaps you can tweak your payment process to do this. Once sqaure knows the customer it will remember them if they use the same card.
If you can explain a little bit more about your whole process then perhaps i can offer a little more advice, I am familiar with Zapier and the square API.
