Woocommerce Gift Vouchers & Square

Hello, a client of mine has been having issues processing the remainder of an order after a gift voucher has been applied at checkout.

 

The total cost of the cart is $49, the gift voucher used is $40 with the remainder $9 to be paid for using a credit card. Client has tried using different machines and different cards, but still encounter the issue.

 

The error code:
Square Payment Failed (Status code VALUE_TOO_LOW: total requested amount 0 is below the minimum allowed) Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed.

 

From what I understand the minimum amount is $1.

 

Someone else was having a similar issue over in the wordpress forums, but no solution was offered there. Any ideas on what can be done to solve this issue?

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having trouble with WooCommerce!

 

Because the integration between Square and WooCommerce is built and supported by WooCommerce, you'd actually need to file a support ticket with them to get more help with this one! Square is just the payment gateway for card payments in this instance - any issues you have with how WooCommerce works would need investigation on their end.

 

We can certainly help with any Square Gift Card enquiries you have, however these are not currently compatible with WooCommerce, who build their own gift card product.
