Won't work tap to pay on S20

Looks like a major issue with tap to pay on S20, it won't work.

Does the new model reader fix this problem as I need my reader to work on all functions with my S20 Galaxy. 

How can I fix this problem, what phones work for all of them?

When I first tried to use Tap to Pay on my Phone (Oppo) it didn't work. I got the functionality by way of and upgrade and in my case the additional permissions we're requested/granted. The quickest fix for me was to uninstall and re-install and then it got the permissions it needed and everything started working.

I thought it might be worth a shot before assuming the phone doesn't work (unless you've already tried this).
