Why wont my digital file automatically open after checkout?

I am new to square and have just uploaded my first digital file for sale. I have added a payment link which automatically opens the digital file via Google Drive for customers to then download. I have selected to automatically open this link once checkout is complete. However, the link is only automatically opening when I purchase via the payment link, not the direct website link. How can I change this to automatically open the Google Drive link when purchasing via the direct website? Or is there a way to add the file as a PDF? Or any other suggestions? I have my item listed as digital.

At the moment, Square doesn't support automatically opening or delivering digital files immediately after checkout when using Square Online or payment links. For now, youโ€™ll need to manually send the file to your customer after they complete their purchase.

That said, if you're looking for a more automated setup, you might consider using a third-party tool like SendOwl, which integrates with Square to handle digital product delivery. You can explore more options like this in the Square App Marketplace.
