Why is Square reporting incorrect inventory after adjustments have been made?

Square keeps reporting incorrect inventory on several different items.  For ex: we'll have 2 items and Square shows none...Anyone else having trouble with this?

Hello @suppaddict, that sounds super weird. 

 

Does this happen after you've updated your stock counts on Square? Also, have you linked any app's to your Square Account?

Thx, I actually spoke with square today & turns out it was the Big Commerce app I didnt realize was linked to our account.  We deactivated that account and am thinking it should be fixed now.

I have this issue often. I assume part of it is user error but I am pretty diligent about inventory so there's something else going on here. Recently I noticed that the system said we had 0 sage smudge sticks.. but in reality we had 39. Things like this happen all the time. Anyone else?

Do you have any similar integrations like the Big Commerce as @suppaddict stated above.

Same here, however, I don't have any similar integrations. I don't have a store online, if my inventory isn't correct then that would be a nightmare for me.

Are you saying that your inventory isn't reporting accurately after sales? If that is the case and like you said you have no integrations or Square Online, then, you will want to reach out to our support team directly so they can take a closer look at what could be going on with your account.  You can give us a call at 855-700-6000 between 6 am - 6 pm Pacific Time Monday-Friday. If you call outside of these hours, you will be required to enter your Customer Code to validate your account.

We are having a problem with our inventory numbers not being correct in Square. My employees counted and updated many items yesterday and today many of them are showing sold out on Square. WHAT IS GOING ON?

Hi @laurelandlawton 👋 I'm sorry to hear you are having some troubles with your inventory count. 

 

Can you give us some more details on this? How did you adjust the inventory? Did you use a barcode scanner, or did you input manually? Did you update through the dashboard on a browser, or through the app on your phone?

 

Where are you showing the count is off? On your website, or with Square hardware?
