Why is Square not accepting my Preferred Phone Number in Setup?

Hi there,

 

I can't complete the setup process no matter how I enter the phone number. Whether I add a +1 in front or not doesn't seem to make a difference (see attached screenshot).

 

Please advise - what am I doing wrong?

Hello there @NewNoiseTBay 

 

Taking a look at your profile and your screenshot, it seems that you may have created a Square Account under the US Market instead of Canada and for that reason the setup will not proceed as it recognizes the area code to be from Canada. You will need to create a new account here. After doing that your setup in this new account will be able to complete.
