Why can't I add an item into inventory?

I'm trying to create an item on my laptop and the button is blue. I click on it to add an item and nothing happens. Then I got to get out of it and it says, you have unsaved changes. 

This happened the other day and I assumed it was a square glitch, but here it is a few days latter and it's still happening.

I am under the 50 items as well....

Hello @wwc_75 thanks for your post; I'm sorry you're having trouble adding items. Are you in your Square Dashboard? Click on Items > Add item. You should see a page to add the details of your items. If you're not seeing this, can you try another web browser? Maybe there is a glitch in the browser you are using.

If you are using the Square App, you can see if there has been a recent update and make sure you're running the most current version of the App. At under 50 items, you should not have any issues adding new items. Square is able to maintain an inventory of many thousands of items.
