Why are the images on my Online Store blurry when I zoom in?

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Square Online Store: Zoom = blurry

I love that there is a click to zoom feature for the new Square Online Store; however, when you attempt to zoom the photos are very blurry. Is there a suggested file size or dimensions that will play nicer with the zoom? I'm uploading the original file sizes so the photos are pretty large in dimensions. Any advice would be great!

Sorry for the blurriness issues. We'd recommend using an image size of at least 1000px to reduce the blurring when zoomed in.

I am selling artwork in a Square store - how can I make my images appear in the correct proportions - not all squares. It's very important to see the whole image. And, they are not all the same proportions.

Hi @sandrahildreth- Welcome to the Seller Community!

Try the image size that kellyj suggests here- so that they'll fit better. All of your images will still show in a square, though, just as a heads up.

The response really doesn't help. I just wish there was a way to be able to use rectangular images of various sizes and not have Square crop everything into a square. I suppose I can paste a rectangular image onto a square background and have that appear. Will try it but feel its likely not going to look very good. Thanks.
