Why are active items not available to add to website Featured Menu Items?

After I add new items to the Square app and enable them for sale online, I go into the desktop site "Online" area > "Items">"Site Items" to make the item visible, add Item to Site Categories, and then go to "Website" area to "Edit Site" to add items to "Featured Menu Items".

 

My issue: 3 of the last 4 site items I've created won't show up in the items search when attempting to add them to the Featured Menu on my website.  They are visible and working in my online store but can't be found in the site editor. I don't know what else to check.

Welcome back to our Seller Community! 

If the item is set as “Visible” on the dashboard it will automatically show up on the online store page. When it comes to the Featured Menu item section, this is is different, the item must be manually edited to select which items you would like to show. If you cannot see the items when searching, then it most likely is a bug that needs to be addressed by our CS team after walking you through additional troubleshooting steps. We can open a ticket for our engineers to take a closer look.
