The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Screen resolution square reader point of sale
I want to buy an android tablet to use the application Square Reader, but I wonder about the minimum resolution of the screen to have the interface horizontally (several columns and visual articles).
Thank you
Great question @NadiaZ! There isn't specific minimum screen resolution required to use the Point of Sale app on an Android tablet. But when you use the app on a tablet (either Android or iOS) you'll be able to use it in landscape view to set up an item grid.
As you mentioned you're planning to buy a new device I strongly recommend checking the Square Device Compatibilty website to make sure the tablet your interested in is compatible with the Point of Sale app and the Square reader.
I have a 7" Lenovo tablet but the app only gives me the smartphone view, even in landscape mode. In fact, there is no landscape mode. How do I changed that?
Hi @MicSchill
Although our apps will work on most devices with Android 7 or higher, the app is not optimized for every screen size on the market, which means in some cases you might not see the content on a full screen.
Let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you.
