Weeby editor

Hi,

I was finally able to navigate to my old Weebly site via the Square Space "back door." The editor loads the interface for editing, but the old Weebly pages never load - I get the "spinning" and "thinking" its way through that never loads those old pages. I can begin a new page, but doing updates on old pages seems impossible ... because they won't load in. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

Hey @BooneRyan.  First off, Square Space is a web host competitor for Square/Weebly, so there is no backdoor for access Weebly sites from Squarespace.

Second, when you say you got in via a “back door,” can you describe the steps you took to do that?  I have an old legacy Weebly website that I couldn’t access for a while.  It turned out that I misunderstood something, and was signing in incorrectly.  What I learned is that we can not log into our Weebly-site editor by signing in to app.squareup.com directly.  We have to:

  1. go to Weebly.com
  2. Click the “Log in” button at the top
  3. Clock the “Log in with Square” button at the bottom
  4. THEN — and only then — use our credentials to sign into the Weebly editor.

Once I got that straight in my head, I’ve been able to fully edit my legacy Weebly site like I used to do.  Hopefully, you will find the same thing.
