WIsh to price something by the square foot

Customer would fill in length and width, feet and inches.  Item priced by the square foot using a calculation.
Then there would be other item options, which may add to the price of the item.

I see the way to do item options, but not the calculation I need.

Any suggestions?

Hi Rltidd27,

I believe you would need a custom developed script to do what you have in mind.  The script would then calculate the cost and also calculate any other options to the total.  Square's basic item setup does not meet the requirements you have in mind.  In the past, what you want can be done however, the logic requires a bit of custom coding.  I've seen this done via PayPal however, not via Square - having said that, I'm sure it can be done but, there's a bit of custom coding behind the scenes needs to be done.  That's the best info I can offer at this point in time - Square's setup is super for most but, when you have specific requirements - that's a challenge unless you have someone who is knowledgeable with what can be done within Square's environment.   Square does have a Developer Community - you may want to look into it.

You would not Need a custom script to price something by the foot, unless you are doing this online then you might.

If you goto you Square Dashboard - Items - Units.  You can get a drop down as I pictured below of how to sell by Units.
