Using Square reader for one off fund raiser

Hi,

 

I have a square reader that I use for my part time business.

My daughter and her freinds are looking to do a one off fund raiser to raise money for a trip to World Youth Day this year. Am i able to set up a square account for her to use my square reader to accept card payments on the day and how would I do this.

Firstly, thank you @lawnbrook for jumping in here to provide the information required to sign up for Square! 🙏

I thought I'd also add that you can certainly pair the Square Reader to different Square Accounts. The readers do not store any account-specific information, all of your transactional data and reports are tied to your Square Account, which you can access anytime by logging in on your app or through your online Square Dashboard.

We would recommend forgetting the reader from any device it was previously paired with, prior to your daughter pairing it through her app. This will ensure it connects smoothly to a new device.

Should you run into any issues pairing the reader, follow these troubleshooting steps

@BWAE ,

 

You would need to go through the whole sign up process, i guess it depends on how onerous that may be. It looks like you can sign up without an ABN.
