Re: Update 6/15 automatic for all??

why is everyone required to update on June 15th? If I like the version I'm using now, and used to it, will I continue to have the option to revert? I am legally blind and the platform works well for me currently. I have used the new version but there is too many drop downs and extra unnecessary steps for me.

Hi @ticodeli. What do you mean that a 6/15 update is required for all? Square doesn’t usually pre-announce POS updates, much less make them required without a very good reason.

Also, you can turn off automatic app updates in your iPad settings and then only download the app updates you want manually.

Yep. That's the banner I have at the top of my online square dashboard. Maybe others don't see it because I'm still on the "older" version when using Square but it says that on June 15th, it will automatically update to the newer version. I've been able to revert back every time it changes the version when it updates but not sure I will be able to do so on June 15th or onward.
