I ran my end of year report and then categorized any missed items. Why is my report still showing them as "uncategorized"? If the database is online and updated immediately why is this an issue?

When you have a moment could you clarify when the items were added and when the report was ran? In order for the reports to be ran successfully, the items would need to be added first for the report to update correctly.

No items were added. It's a category update to the items. Then I re-ran the reports and the sales are still uncategorized.
The issue is you created an Item with Category Uncatorgarized, made a sale of that item. Now Square will not change that Transacation. So when you made that item into Merchandise Category for example all future sales will show as category Merchandise, but no changes will be made to Previous transactions.

@Candlestore Just to clarify, if the seller edits the Category now it will only affect their future sales and reports, but it will not affect their past sales and reports, correct?
This is what I have noticed with my transaction. Any Adjustment made today to a category would effect transaction Only after the change, all sales made before the item was assigned a category would show as Uncatorgarized.
