Unable to publish Edits to Square Online Store

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "Edits not publishing!"

 

Will someone help me…why after one year, my edits are all of a sudden not publishing?!!!!

 

I need clients to book my upcoming aerobics class. 

Kindly advise.

Solution

Hmmm.  Ok.  Let’s start with the nuclear approach.  I want you to go to your web dashboard > Online > Website > Site Preferences.  Scroll to the bottom and you’ll see an “Unpublish” button.  Click that and follow the instructions.  Then try to navigate to your website and you’ll should get a 404 error.  That’s expected.

 

Now, re-publish your site as you normally would.  This sounds like something has gotten messed up in your website’s internals.  Unpublishing has the effect of wiping the slate clean and starting over.  I’ve had to do that a few times when similar unexplained errors happened.  Hopefully it works for you, too.

 

Let me know if it did, or not.

Hi @MavenSteppa.  Can you clarify, please?  Exactly WHICH edits are not publishing?  I need a place to start rather than throw a lot of irrelevant things at you.

When I edit my Square website to change the event date to a future date 4/4/25 (which allows my clients to pay for my upcoming step aerobics class), I select “Publish’”. However, the website still shows 3/24 (a date in the past!). My website edits are not publishing.

After logging in to my dashboard, when trying to edit, it sends me back to the login screen but doesn’t accept my password again. HELP!

I went ahead and merged your new post to your previous thread where you mentioned this before, just to keep everything in one place.

 

Let's start by getting you logged into your Dashboard again. If you're unable to log in using your password, you can use the "forgot password" option under the sign in to reset your password. Give that a try, and let me know if you're able to log in again.
