Tsp100

I have a star TSP 100 printer connected through a USB cable to my square stand. Recently it has been printing but missing the entire right side of the print. I have tried troubleshooting the printer turning it off and on resetting it reinstalling it reinstalling square. It will work and then it won’t work but it always misses the right side of the paper. Any information would be appreciated.

@Reliableautorep First thing is to isolate it to the printer or the software.  Best thing is to run self test on the printer to see if it is a hardware failure.

#1..sounds silly - But try a different roll of paper..make sure paper is loaded correctly.

#2.  Self test the printer:  If the problem shows up here then you have a hardware issue...probably a defective unit.  Odds are you will need a new one..replacing parts isn't always cheaper.

Thermal Printers except for TSP100ECO:
1) While pressing the FEED button, turn the power on.
2) Take your hands off the FEED button when self-printing has started.
3) Once you have finished self-printing, remove the sheet that was printed.

TSP100ECO:
Make sure that the computer is turned on and that the printer’s power cord is plugged into an AC outlet.
1) While holding the FEED button down, connect the USB cable to the computer.
2) After the printer starts printing, release your hand from the FEED button.
3) After self-printing is completed, the printer will star in the normal mode.

Hi @hcwo - Thanks for reaching out to us with your question. I see this is your first post in the Seller Community so I'd like to officially welcome you! 🎉👏

I'm going to go ahead and tag @Reliableautorep to help get eyes on your question so hopefully, you will get an answer from them!

However, I can tell you that this sounds like an issue with the printer itself, not the Square app or Point of Sale. I suggest reaching out to the printer's manufacturer, Star Micronics, for further assistance. You can contact the Star Micronics Support Team directly at: 1-800-782-7636, enter 995 if asked for an extension.

Please note: All third-party hardware products compatible with Square are provided according to the warranty and other terms specified by the manufacturer, who is solely responsible for service and support for its product.

I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions by replying to this thread. Thank you!
