Im currently having problems with my app and or device detecting my plug in reader, its the 1st generation reader for the magstripe. I tried calling support but they didnt answer on what I should do about it and just hung up on me. Anyone have any idea on what i should do?
Also I have already been through all the trouble shooting steps (i.e. Updating the app, force stopping, resetting device, etc.) I have a Motorola stylus 5g 2024, and have checked that its combatable, and it is.
For the Mag readers you do not really need to do anything for Square to recognize it. Open your Square App on your phone and plug the reader into the port. Then after adding item(s) to your cart or manually setting a price. Press tender and then slide the magnetic stripe throught the Reader.
