Hello! I absolutely adore using Square invoices, but right now I'm having to manually put each order into my personal phone calendar to keep track of due dates on a calendar view. It's not the end of the world, but it can be tedious when I get really busy! I would love a way to reduce administrative tasks by just being able to see invoices on a calendar. Is that possible currently? Thanks! 🙂 ❤️

Unfortunately, we don't have an integration for Square Invoices and external calendars. I would recommend referring to the Invoices section of your Square Dashboard for an overview of your Invoices. Then, you can utilize the filters shown below to display the Invoices you'd like to view.

Got it! Would we ever see a calendar in square invoices in the future? I was more so hoping for something in-app vs integrating with an outside app.
I would love the ability to create orders via invoices, like it will with shipping orders. Fingers crossed. I'm guessing @hailiecakes that would be what you're looking for?
One work around I've thought about is to create an order for pick-up that matches the custom order paid via invoice, but have it cost zero. Then you can have it with the other orders and mark it as ready for the customer. The only problem is that your transaction numbers may get a little wonky if you use that as part of your reports.
I have the same issue and would love a calendar view, but I have figured out the best way to do it. You can add service date to your invoice view and then sort by date. I also take it a step further and add the date in the invoice subject. I used to be so nervous about missing an invoiced order before but this has helped sooo much.

Thank you @_Violet ! I actually do have a couple issues I would love some help with as its something I deal with on a weekly basis.
First of all when a customer places an item in their cart they have issues figuring out how to choose a future date for pickup. At the moment there is a button that says "edit" which is what they need to click on but it's unclear to them and I get phone calls consistently about it. Can we change the button wording to say "Change date" or something like that?
Also a bigger issue that once worked and then an update caused it not work anymore. I have reported in the past, but they marked it as fixed when it actually wasn't and I have given up. It is causing me to make a weekly work around, but I'm almost at the point of giving up on online orders through square. My cake orders are set by business days, however, when an order is placed close to days that I am closed it does not take those into account. For example, I have a signature sprinkle cake which has a prep time of 3 business days. The ordering is fine when placed Saturday after 1pm closing until Thursday closing at 4:30pm. However, if someone places an order from Thursday evening through Saturday before closing, it doesn't work properly. We are closed on Sunday and Mondays, so if an order is placed on Friday the pickup date should be Wednesday at the earliest, and if the order is placed on Saturday before 1pm the pickup date should be Thursday at the earliest. In both these instances at the moment they are available for pickup on Tuesday. So I have been going in every Thursday evening to block off the next Tuesday as an available date. They can only recreate this on our website on Thursdays after 4:30pm EST until Saturdays 1:00pm EST, so I think they closed the ticket in the past cause it works properly on other days. Sorry for the long winded message but I wanted to get all the information in!
Oh yes, echoing this! We have had too many customers not understand where to edit their pick-up date. And of course, people think we control everything on our website so they think we can easily change it to make more sense. k
And I also had this issue with dates as I'm also closed Sunday and Mondays. Thankfully it's not an issue currently for me as my prep times all changed to one week. But it was frustrating for sure.
Just commenting to know 1) you're not alone and 2) so the square team can understand our bakery quirks. 😄
Thanks for the support @sugarlab ! I thought about doing all cakes for one week notice, but I like offering some quicker cakes so hopefully they can fix it soon.
