Tipping Question

I work for a non-profit art museum and while we welcome people to donate money, the "tipping" option does not apply to us/our industry. Do happen to know how we can either change the verbiage so that it doesn't say tipping, or replicate the tipping prompt for a donation at check out?

Thanks!

Hi @MOCAshop_Tucson - Thanks for dropping by The Seller Community😊

Great Question.

I can totally see the need for a feature like this and how beneficial it could be for non profit organizations. At this time Square does not offer a feature that will allow the verbiage to be changed to reflect donations instead of tips. I'll be happy to move this over to a feature request board so that our engineers have visibility of your suggestion. We appreciate you sharing your request. While there is no time frame for when it will be implemented, i'm happy to make sure our engineers have eyes on your request.

In the meantime, a great work around would be accepting donations through Square Online.

You can use the donation item type to accept donations of up to $5,000.00 on your website. Donation items are fully customizable and you can easily feature them on your homepage to raise awareness for your cause.

From your Square Online Overview page, go to Items > Item Library and click Add Item. Choose Donation from the Item Type menu, then add a title, description, and a photo if you like.

I hope this helps.

As always, feel free to stop by The Community with question, concerns and even feature requests. We are more than happy to assist.
