I work at a club. The client came in and purchased a Vape from me for $40. I swipe their credit card I would never have the credit card to swipe is it wasn’t theirs. They are now now saying that they did not purchase this and it was an illegal purchase and they filed a complaint with their bank and their bank contacted Square they are lying. They took my product and they used it and they have lied about the payment and they’re making me look like I’m the bad one what can I do
Hey @Catsmeow1945
Sorry trouble has brought you to the Community.
I understand how frustrating disputes can be, but in a transactional exchange, Square is the payment processor for your payments. After a dispute is filed, Square will receive notification of the billing dispute from the bank or credit card company. We recommend providing as much information as possible in the email you received from our Dispute department to support their purchase. We’ll work with the bank to resolve the dispute as quickly as possible.
Please let me know if I can assist with anything else.
If you have cameras make sure to submit proof of them checking out. They could have used a stolen card, or they're just trying to get something for free.
