Cookie / privacy policy

Hi,

I'm new to all this and am just in the process of creating a website (not published yet).

What did you all do regarding cookie and privacy policies? It looks incredibly complicated. Is there are template you can use for these things or do you need a lawyer to help create these policies. I honestly don't know where to begin. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you have a Weebly site then @Percept1, not Square Online. The difference is explained in this thread.

I had a look and found instructions on setting up a Cookie Banner on Weebly, you can follow them here.

If you need any further assistance with this you'd need to contact Weebly directly - you can ask the Weebly Community 🙂

Square online has a free cookie policy

or look at someone’s own your industry and adapt it suit your line of business.

You can pay to customise the cookie banner to your colours and Logo - keep it simple when you first start out

Hey @Percept1, thanks for your post.

You can use your own Cookie Banner or you can use the free Square Online one that Twiggy has posted above which is GDPR compliant.

From your Square Online dashboard, you should be prompted to enable a cookie banner.

  1. In your Square Online Overview page, go to Website > Site Preferences.

  2. Under Cookie Consent, select Set up cookie consent.

  3. Choose the Include banner provided by our partner Cookiebot.

  4. Save (Note: Changes to your cookie consent banner can take up to 24 hours to appear on your site.)
