Tap to Pay on iPhone in Australia

Tap to Pay on iPhone has been available in the US version for since Q3 last year (https://squareup.com/us/en/townsquare/tap-to-pay-iphone), why hasn't this made its way to the Australian version yet?

We want this asap.

Thanks for inquiring about the Tap to Pay feature! 

We're working closely with Apple to bring this to Australia, and markets outside the US. I'd personally also love to see this come to Australia asap as an avid iOS user. We can't share a timeline, but we will post an update as soon as it's available here.

I'm excited to let you know that Tap to Pay on iPhone is now available for beta testing in Australia! You'll need an iPhone XS or newer running iOS 16.4 and the latest version of the Square Point of Sale, Square Appointments or Square for Retail apps.

Tap to Pay on iPhone is available to all sellers as of today!

Make sure you're running minimum version 6.28 of the Square app on your device then follow the instructions in this article in our Support Centre to get set up!

Hey Quick Question Victoria,

Will the IOS Tap to pay Transaction rate be the same as the sellers current Card-Present Transaction rate or will it default to the 1.9%

Now that TtP on iPhone has gone live in Australia I found on the Square website that the rate is 1.9% (or better if the seller is on a better rate).

If that’s not the case can someone please reply?
