Taking tlephone orders and taking payment upon collection by card

Hi there, so I am a burger takeaway restaurant and have started taking telephone orders for pickup. However I cannot find a way to skip the payment page, as I only charge the customer when they come and pick up the order.

How I am working around this is by adding items and putting it as a cash sale, then when the customer comes to collect I create another duplicate transaction and then take payment with card.

Can anyone show me a better way of doing this - as it's creating 2 transactions whereas in fact it is only one.

Hey @smashnslide - there's an easy way to do this by enabling the open ticket feature. 

This will save the order so it's in the system & give you the ticket as normal, then when they come to collect you can open up the ticket again to take the payment. This won't create a duplicate order, just the one that's in the system.

hi thanks for that! seems to be what im looking for.

however I added the option for open tickets but not able to see in my checkout how to create an open ticket, see screenshot of my screen.

This is gonna sound a bit silly, but did you turn it on after enabling it? 

Once you’ve added it in the ‘add ons’ section of the app, you then need to go into it & turn it on for that device,
