State sales tax change

Why did my state sales tax change to "Included" without my knowledge? It happened on 4/26/23. It was correct on 4/25/23. I am the only one with access for this and I didn't change it.

It is not ACCOUNT specific because when this happened to them it happened to me also and I posted in this forum about it happening to me with Clothing that was not taxed before.   I also noticed at the time that my Catalog no longer exported the Tax y/N column.   The subject of my post was something with Y/N no longer available.

I had it fixed by going through my clothing Items and Fudge and food items and today I noticed a Shirt had it back ON to be Taxed AGAIN...... How do these setting keep getting turned on recently but have been fine since 2019???

We can see that this is not specific to one account per your report, therefore it will need to be looked at further by the direct team. On this platform, we can't access back-end information to uncover how this setting was changed or affected. 

 

I just wanna make sure that any Sellers that have experienced this recently do report it so our engineers can gather the necessary information to get this addressed ASAP.

Thank you so much for the help.  I was able to fix this pretty easily on my POS iPad.  Better than my Dashboard! It gave me the option to charge or not charge tax on a category of items.  I am a salon and we do not charge tax on service, so it allowed me to do the entire category as non-taxable.  I worked forever on the Dashboard to figure it out and finally used a combination of Square help and Google to give me the help I needed. I just don't understand how it happened and why didn't I get a notification of some sort...or did I miss it?
