Square auto write in item library

I don't know how long this feature has been available, but the auto write feature for description is amazing.  Writing descriptions is the hardest thing, but this has saved me a lot of time. I can put an item up in a couple of minutes now. A great time saver.

I don't see that in my account.  Is it in your dashboard item library or when you add items online?

I think currently it only works for New items you create on the Dashboard.

I looked at some of my 6000 items, no auto write.

Created a fake Item 28oz Lilac and then was able to see the Auto Write feature in the Description area.

The Items I had in my Items, some had Descriptions and some are Blank.  Since my Square Dashboard is used for in House retail sales descriptions are usually not needed for me.  But some items that I order to resell, I use the Description area as a Bin location to easily find the item if a customer wants another of the item and no more on the shelf.  6000 items and storage in a basement, attic, Large barn and a Back barn always gets confusing where a 2" item could be.

So 2 things from this,

1 would be great if the Auto Write Description could work for items already in your Library

2 a storage location field for each item or Bin location would be great

@Candlestore Maybe it is something they are rolling out over time. I have been updating a lot of my items that are older. To get the autowrite to appear on older items you have to move your mouse right to the bottom f the description block and it will appear.

Thanks for the Tip, found in the Description Block at the bottom far right side 3 lines in the corn shaped like a Triangle, clicked there (1 Left mouse click) then I did get the auto write to pop up.  I like this because these descriptions are better then I would think of or could write myself.  I know my limits and I am more a technical person than a creative person.

@Candle My descriptions were just bland basic stuff, now they have some pep and sounds engaging. I'm almost ashamed to list  my description vs. the AI description, but here it is.

Here's mine:

Cotton blend, super soft

Machine wash cold. Tumble Dry low. No Bleach

Top has a white collar with bees embroidered around collar with yellow ruffle trim.

Bee are printed all over the top.

Yellow shorts with elastic pull up waist. 

Here's what AI writes:

I now know why Hollywood script writers are striking, this could eliminate many, many jobs.

I know what you mean.  I have a candle that is 3 colors and each color is a different scent.  I have something like:

AI writes for the Short Concise version:

If I switch it to medium and engaging:

With long-lasting blooms, you can enjoy the beauty and aroma for days. And for an extra treat, try our Triple Layer Spring Bouquet candle that changes scents from Gardenia to Hyacinth and then finally to Lavender. Now from me playing with this it just informed me I can only have AI rewrite this one more time.  Not sure if that is forever for this scent, or if I choose another item and then comeback if AI can rewrite this again?

@Candlestore I haven't encountered the AI can only write this one more time. I have done a couple of hundred items so far. I use medium and engaging for my description.

What blows my mind is when I put up a baby romper I add in the description snaps on the bottom. AI comes back with Romper has snaps on the bottom for convenient diaper change. How does it know that from just 3 snaps on the bottom?

Also if you want to make some nice Facebook post, just click on create item and in the description box click auto write.  Then in the Keywords put in what you want to say and click Long message and engaging. It sure has made my facebook post better.

Try having the AI compare the 9 variations of what it can write for 1 item.

You have Short Medium and Long for Length; times 3  for Tone: Concise, Engaging and Professional.

I took 1 Item and was trying all 9 of these and also tried changing the key words a little bit and never saved any of them.  That is when I got the warning.  I did go back and was able to keep trying it on that item after saving it once.

@Candlestore I just tried it and I got to the 4th rewrite before I got the message.

@Doran yes, when you go to your dashboard/items/create a item. When you click in the description box Autowrite will pop up. I did find out last night that it doesn't appear on my ipad or iphone.
