Square Terminal

i have set up items on the square terminal before we got the square stand now my items are duplicated how do I delete ones on square terminal that we don't need as now on both the terminal and stand so on the terminal they are duplcated?

Hey @Olga_ORFC, thank you for your post. Happy to help you with some additional context here. 

 

When you create an item, whether it be on your Terminal, Stand, Point of Sale app, or Dashboard, the item you have created will appear across all of your devices that are logged into your account. So it is expected behavior that your items are appearing on both your Terminal as well as the Stand. 

 

If you'd like only certain items to appear on each device, I'd suggest creating an additional location for each device and then assigning the relevant items to each location. 

 

To create additional locations, visit Locations in online Square Dashboard and click Create Location. Once you add a new location, you cannot delete locations, but you can deactivate a location at any time. Inactive accounts will still be visible and can be reactivated at any time.

 

Once you have created your locations you can assign items to each location specifically: 

 

  1. From the Items section of your online Square Dashboard, click Create Item or click an existing item.
  2. Select applicable locations and save your changes.
  3. If you add an item to a new location, check the current item settings (modifier set, discounts, and taxes).
