Square POS — How to stay in Favorite Category section to add multiple items

We use 8 main categories of items on our POS. Often times, customers have multiple items from one category, say "Bakery". I go into "Bakery" category, select an item, and then once the item is added to the sale, I have to go back into the category again and select an item. Is there a way to stay in a category and select multiple items and then backing out manually as opposed to getting kicked back to the favorite category page every time I add an item to a Sale?

A better understanding of what Hardware you are using would be helpful.

I use Square for Retail ( there is a free version) to enter my item sales along with usually a scanner.

Now when my scanner battery is dead and we need to tap through our Favorites to 28oz Candles.  I select the Scent, it adds it to the Cart on the Checkout Screen.  After Blueberry Cobbler is added I press the back button orthe Favorite Category of 28oz candles and I am back in the favorite categore of 28oz candles.

This is on an Ipad and not on a cell phone or android.  The process was the same for Square for retail free version.
