Square Card Activity

I posted the belowe back in April, but didn't receive any traction. Now it's my year end and I can't download my Square card activity at all.

 

Has anyone else tried to download a "monthly statement" from their Square card? How else can you reconcile your Square card with your accounting software if you don't have a statement?

Hey y'all! Quickie about Square Card activity...

 

Previously I've been able to set the Square Card activity dates to whatever month I needed and then download them - like a bank statement.

 

However, in going in today I realized that even "custom" didn't allow a little box to come up with "from date" to "to date".

 

Has anyone else encountered this?

 

What happens when you need a specific month with specific starting and ending balances because ~taxes~ or God forbid: @UD!t (I'm not spelling that word out).

 

Is this a browser problem or has it been revamped?

Solution

The fix was deployed Friday. All Canada based Square sellers should now see the ability to export Square Card activity in Dashboard.

Hi @lenjobakes - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Square Seller Community to bring this to our attention. I'm sorry that we didn't get back to you when you originally posted back in April 😔

 

I just took a look at the Balance section of the Square Dashboard. I do not see a way to separate just the Square Card use history from the rest of the Balance activity. I want to say there was a way to do this before but I'm not sure if something has changed 🤔

I'll have to reach out to some of our teams to get the best answer for you. I'll reach back out to you here once I gather more info!

Hi @_Violet!

 

Yes, this was definitely possible before as we've done reconciliations in Quickbooks since 2021 for the Square Card. The only way we've been able to do that is import the statement in .csv form that we downloaded after clicking "View All Activity" and then process the reconciliation like any other bank card.

 

This is an *essential* part of offering a financial service to sellers - we have to be able to do our due diligence so that we can be in good standing with the government agencies that require us to report accurate financial data.

 

Looking forward to having that functionality back ASAP since I'm trying to do our bank reconciliations for our year end.

I was told that this is actually a bug and the fix should be released to Dashboard today. Could you please confirm whether or not you see this as fixed on your end?
