Needs some help, new to Square.
We own a spa that has multiple rooms / multiple therapists.
How can we utilize the same schedule and booking situation (One store), but allow each therapist to take their own payment (square accounts) and manage their own taxes?
@Bs_Honey This is a tough situation. Does each therapist use only one room? or do they rotate around? etc? I am not sure there is a clean way to do this. The best advice would be to have 1 account, and treat each therapist as a 1099 contractor and you pass through the income and charges. You would still have to file as the business owner, but all of their income would be accounted for on the 1099 so effectively no different, just 1 or 2 more hoops. But you would gain one calendar and the ability to take advantage of all of the features of square.
The only other option is too look at square integrations and see if a custom solution might exist. That's my 2c.
Thank you!
We were trying to keep the accounting split out for ease of use.....
@Bs_Honey i would use what I call the "po'boy accounting system". Just have 1 checking account that all the income goes into. Pay out each 1099 contractor, and the rest pay to your business account. Clear and clean, it is an extra step, but for accounting purposes it is wonderful. You always know your money is yours, and their money is theirs.
